Kokanee Crankworx Day 6 – Air DH

July 20, 2011

After shooting three days in a row I took a break and rested my sore ankle (sprained while watching the Canadian Open near Heckler’s Rock) for a couple days… But Wednesday was the Jeep Air DH… Had to go see if Brian Lopes would maintain his five year dominance on the world’s most ridden bike trail, A-Line. I scoped out a spot where I knew there’d be some sweet scrub/whip action… Air DH always brings out the top pros…who doesn’t like a run down A-line?!  I captured some sweet images of the action that went down…

trailside rowdiness

Quite the gauntlet of fans on the course….

This dude obviously forgot his race kit at home…

Full Moon

Brian Lopes getting a warm welcome as he rips in for second place, dethroned by young up and comer Andrew Neethling.

One last image…. I can’t imagine coming down A-line getting cheered on every meter of the way… Kokanee Crankworx is awesome!
