The Whistler Museum and Whistler Is Awesome’s Big Kids LEGO Competition October 26 Saw Awesome Builds And Good Times

Whistler Museum, Whistler Is Awesome, whistler blog, lego, lego comp, competition

There were 18 builders all vying for the chance to build the best LEGO creation and take home some of the prizing donated by our sponsors. The theme of this year’s event was “Whistler’s Secrets” and builds ranged from the literal to the fanciful.

This creation and its maker Dave Weale took home 3rd place - $50 for Dubh Lin Gate, a Prior tee shirt and a coveted Whistler Blackcomb enviro mug.

The Hemloft replica built by Keith took home 2nd place and a 50min massage at the Four Seasons Whistler, a cap or toque from Prior and a Whistler Blackcomb enviro mug.

Rolly created the 1st place winning build, a LEGO replica of the LEGO Competition! He earned an overnight stay for two at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, a Prior hoodie and a WB enviro mug.

First place winner Rolly practiced his build three times before the actual event.

Other partners for the event provided draw prizes for spectators including a $25 gift certificate for PureBread, Whistler Blackcomb branded Airhole facemasks, Whistler Mountain Bike Park tee shirts and a one time pass for the Scandinave Spa Whistler.

Some people came more prepared than others.
