The Proof – Mark Gribbon

I moved to Whistler when I was 17, straight from the heart of the Ottawa Valley, Pembroke Ontario and fell in love with the Sea to Sky corridor.  I have worked too many jobs in this town to list, but now I pay the bills shooting photos for a variety of magazines and clients in the action & lifestyle world.  I spend as much time as I can outdoors, I have the best friends and family a guy could hope for, and am a slow cooking aficionado.

The Photos

01 The day usually starts like this.
02 Then moves on to this, either a bike ride or dog walk, Ebi doesn’t care which one – both make her happy.
03 In the winter, pow laps through Kybers are a must, it is the reason I have lived here so long.
04 The backcountry around Whistler can’t be beat, I love the places my snowmobile takes me.\
05 This is my new backyard, the fishing in Squamish is awesome.
06 Nicaraguan tow truck, driving in mud is not like snow.  No matter where I travel there really is no place like home.
07 My newest camera, taking it back to the O.G. of instagram.
08 My other walking partner Kristina, I’m a lucky guy.

The Questions:

What neighborhood do you live in?
After a long stint in Whistler I recently re-located to Squamish with my beautiful girlfriend Kristina and we just bought our first townhouse!

What do you do and where?
I work as a commercial photographer shooting action, lifestyle and travel images.

What are you working on?
Right now I am building a shed for the new house and finishing up an editorial assignment for Snowboard Canada.  By the look of my fingers I am much more handy with the camera as opposed to the hammer.

Where can we find your work?
You can find my work at http://markgribbon.com/ as well as http://www.markgribbonweddingphotography.com/. I recently hung some prints at 21 steps.  The staff and food there are awesome stop by have a beer and check them out!
