3RD ANNUAL FUNCTION JUNCTION BLOCK pARTy RETURNS!

Whistler, B.C. – This summer’s coolest party requires no ticket. The Whistler Arts Council invites everyone to a free Function Junction Block pARTy to celebrate arts on Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Function Junction Block pARTy returns with tons of live entertainment and activities for everyone. Visit the businesses in the heart of the eclectic district who will be hosting art work from local artists. This years’ Block pARTy will feature the main stage with an amazing line-up that includes returning favourites: Jon Burr and Ivan the Terrible and new acts RAPIDO and Where’s Taran.

The streets will come alive with a huge amount of live and interactive art and demonstrations by Taka Sudo, Kris Kupskay, Randoid, Dave Petko and Stan Matwychuk as well as a Capoeira demonstration by the Awesome Arts Academy. Enjoy food served at Cracked Pepper, Burnt Stew and Pure Bread, artisans’ work, face painting, interactive art stations and games. There is something in store for everyone and this party will surely offer a unique insider perspective into the heart of Whistler’s creative centre.
