This weekend marked the opening of Whistler Bike Park’s Garbanzo Zone. While riding the chairlift into new terrain, it becomes evident just how much snow we got this past winter, which is still about a meter deep in some areas. Luckily for us, the Bike Park trail crews have been hard at work removing the snow off the trails and getting things all ready for riding.

The 2200 feet of extra elevation offers some great views and a change of pace from riding the trails down in the Fitzsimmons Zone. So attach that DIY innertube fender and head up the Garbanzo chair, for a nice (and muddy) ride.
